Although Sun beetles are more often encountered as pets in the hobby, their huge larvae present a great calory booster and a real treat to any larger terrarium enhabitant.

Becaouse of their hard exosceleton shell and defenisve mechanisms, adult beetles are not recommended as feeder insects.
